WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on healthcare discipline that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors are trained in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders arising from the spine, nerves, muscles, and joints of the body.
BENEFITS OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Improved Posture
Improved Joint Mobility
Improved Physical Function and Performance
Relief from Neck Pain and Headaches
Relief from Shoulder, Arm, Elbow, and Wrist Pain
Relief from Lower Back Pain and Sciatica
Relief from Hip, Knee, and Ankle Pain
WHAT IS SPINAL MANIPULATION
The most commonly used technique by chiropractors is spinal manipulation. It's a technique where our chiropractors use their hands or a device to apply a controlled thrust (a force of a specific magnitude or degree in a specific direction) to restricted segments of the spine with the purpose of restoring or enhancing motion in the spine. This helps to decrease the pain and inflammation associated with many common mechanical injuries.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT
After you book your initial appointment, you will be emailed your intake forms to complete prior to your visit. When you arrive for your appointment, your chiropractor will review the information on the forms and ask additional questions to learn more about your past and current healthcare needs. Your chiropractor will then perform a physical examination that is used to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. If chiropractic care is not the best therapy for you, we will make the appropriate referral to another healthcare provider.
OUR TREATMENT APPROACH
At Strada, we believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It is our goal to develop complete solutions for your healthcare needs by addressing all possible contributing factors. For example, low back pain may be the result of tight hips, or shoulder pain may develop from tight muscles in the mid-back or neck. We use multiple treatment modalities (spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, laser therapy, exercise, etc.) to address these issues and help you feel better and move better, as soon as possible!
